As with any internet site, we unfortunately must have terms and conditions about how you use the site and your conduct within our little domain. These are here for your protection, and to prevent abuse of the site.

By registering with Star Warriors or using any site facility as an unregistered user, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions laid out on this page. Failure to abide by our terms and conditions may result in your account being terminated, your profile deleted, and you being prohibited from further access of the site.

• The minimum age for registration on the forums is 18. Minors are allowed to register on the site provided they are children of adult members. No other minors are allowed to register and any such registration will be rejected. Minors from the age of 14, with parental consent, are granted full membership. Minors under the age of 14 are inducted into our Star Juniors group which is a restricted section of the forums. In order to register please click the button "forums" and then "register". Your e-mail address will be validated and your registration must be approved by a member of the administration team. Please allow time for your registration to be approved.

• You agree that Star Warriors cannot and shall not be held responsible for any losses or damage or liabilities, consequential or otherwise, incurred by yourself as a direct or indirect result of using this site.

• Star Warriors allows user submitted profiles and images, which appear immediately on the web for public viewing. You agree that Star Warriors cannot be held responsible for the content of these profiles. At our discretion, images which are of an offensive or objectionable nature will be removed as soon as we discover them, with the submitting user’s account being removed at our discretion.

• To support our site costs, we encourage users to donate a small amount via PAYPAL.  PAYPAL is a 3rd party site, and we cannot be held responsible for any losses or damages incurred via PAYPAL. Please read their terms and conditions before using PAYPAL.

• You may, at our sole discretion, donate via certain other methods. If you would like to donate via another method please contact one of the administrators.

• All monies collected shall ONLY be spent on and by Star Warriors Costuming Group and will not be used by any individual for any other purpose whatsoever.

• Contributing to the site is voluntary. Whilst we are very grateful for all funding from our users, please remember that contributions do not grant you immunity from profile suspension, should you fail to adhere to the site rules.

• We may, at our discretion, suspend or revoke access to users who appear to be accessing Star Warriors in a non-standard way, or who do not appear to be using a web browser. This includes, but is not limited to, hacking attempts, spoofing attempts, attempts to access restricted profiles/images and attempts to gain admin access to the site. In such cases your account may be terminated without warning.

• You are permitted to create a profile, which is displayed to members only. You understand that any information or image you submit to appear on your profile is potentially accessible to the public, on the website.

• You agree that Star Warriors will not be held responsible for any unwanted contact as a result of information you submit to your Star Warriors profile. We provide tools such as 'hide your email address' to protect you. If you subsequently add your email address or mobile telephone number to the publicly visible textual section of your profile, you agree that Star Warriors cannot be held responsible for any undesired contact from other Star Warriors users or otherwise.

• We may, at our discretion, suspend, delete or prevent access to the site for individuals or groups of users without warning or explanation.

• As a group we do not tolerate any form of abuse or abusive behaviour towards members of the group or the general public. Any form of abuse, not matter howsoever it transpires, will result in the immediate suspension of any member involved, and where necessary the permanent removal of an instigator of such abuse. This condition extends to all verbal, physical and written forms of abuse.

• In cases where it is suspected your image or profile is not genuine, the onus is on you to prove to us that they are. This is for our own user’s protection. We may ask for various forms of documentation or images, to ascertain that your profile is genuine and free from stolen or fraudulent content. Providing such requested items is of course, voluntary, but we reserve the right to keep your profile in a suspended state if you choose not to supply these to Star Warriors.

• If you, as a member, intend to use others images/text within posts to the forums or anywhere else within the site, please remember that it is the member's own responsibility to ensure that those images are free from copyright or that copyright has been attributed to the correct person(s) and permission to use the image/text has been granted.

• Whilst the group will endeavour to remove any images should an ex-member request it, this will not always be possible. Therefore, as a member you grant free and full permission to Star Warriors to the use of any photographic, electronic or digital images of you in costume for any purpose that Star Warriors sees fit to put those images. This permission also extends to any images posted by yourself, whilst a member, on the site or forums. These permissions will extend for a maximum period of three years from your date of leaving the group.

• Whilst we endeavour to ensure that content within this site is free of copyright, we cannot be held responsible for the use or otherwise of images by our members.

• Any infringement of copyright law by our members will result in content being removed from the site and penalties imposed on the member.

• If you feel your copyright has been infringed please contact the site administrators to request removal of the images/text.
